Terms and conditions of use

CarbonCulture is a service that's provided by More Associates Ltd, a ground-breaking sustainable innovation practice. We're registered in England with the company number 5032066 at The ODI, 3rd floor, 65 Clifton Street, London, EC2A 4JE. These terms and conditions apply to the services provided under the CarbonCulture name. Where we talk about ‘users' we mean anyone who signs up to use CarbonCulture.

Signing up

You need to register with us and be signed in to use some features of the website.

If you are under 18, please don't register unless you have permission from your legal guardian (that's usually your mum or dad).

Acceptable use policy

You may use the website, and any services we provide on the website, for your own personal, non-commercial use (including when you are at work). We want everyone to have a safe, enjoyable experience when using the website, so:

  • You must not send or otherwise post unauthorised commercial communications such as spam
  • You must not collect other members' content or information, or otherwise access the website, using automated means without our express consent. Any use of harvesting bots, scrapers, spiders and robots or any other analytical, information-gathering or automated tools is strictly forbidden
  • You must not solicit login information or access another member's account
  • You must not use the website for the purpose of bullying, intimidating or harassing any other members
  • You must not use the website to do anything which would reasonably be considered malicious, discriminatory, misleading or unlawful
  • You must not do anything, or use the website in a way, which impairs the proper working of the website for other members, such as a denial of service attack

If you breach these terms we shall not be liable for loss you suffer and may take reasonable action to prevent you continuing to abuse the services we provide and to sanction you for your breach.

Intellectual property rights (including copyright)

All intellectual property rights in the website, our content and any database operated by us, either belong to us or have been licensed to us. All content that you upload or post to CarbonCulture remains your property and you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any content that you post on or in connection with CarbonCulture in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You must not upload or post any content that infringes anybody's intellectual property rights.

You may use our content for private and non-commercial purposes as follows:

  • to access for personal use (to comment on, view and share) within the service;
  • to publish and/or interact with our content within the service via the tools and apps that we make available to you, polls or by adding comments;
  • to provide links to our content to others outside the website, using the “share links” on the website

Except as we or our partners may expressly authorise, you agree not to modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, rent, loan, sell, adapt, change, alter, manipulate, lease, license, sub-license, distribute or create in any way content and/or derivative works from CarbonCulture, in whole or in part, other than as permitted here. You must not use our content in any way within the website which may reasonably be considered to be offensive, inappropriate or defamatory (this is at our discretion) or which is unlawful.

You agree not to modify or reverse-engineer our software in any manner or form, or to use modified versions of our software, whether or not for the purpose of obtaining unauthorised access to CarbonCulture. You agree not to access CarbonCulture by any means other than through the interfaces that we provide for your use in accessing CarbonCulture.

We will always aim to fix problems where we can. If you have a question, suggestion or complaint about the website or any of the content featured on the website, please contact us using the Feedback facility on the CarbonCulture website.


The only warranties or promises we give are set out in this document and in so far as we are permitted to do so by law, all warranties in respect of the website and its content are excluded. We can't accept liability for any indirect or consequential losses, loss of data or any use of content you suffer from using the website, although we never limit liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence or fraud. We are not responsible for the content uploaded by users and assume no responsibility for and make no warranty or representation as to the accuracy, currency, completeness, reliability or usefulness of information distributed through CarbonCulture. Your statutory rights are not affected.

We make no warranty that (i) CarbonCulture will meet your requirements, (ii) CarbonCulture will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, (iii) the results that may be obtained from the use CarbonCulture will be accurate or reliable, (iv) the quality of any information obtained by you through CarbonCulture will meet your expectations, and (v) any errors in the software will be corrected.

These Terms are personal to you, and you are not allowed to transfer your rights under this agreement to anyone else.

If any part of these Terms no longer applies or is no longer legally enforceable, then that part will be severed from the rest of the agreement and the rest will continue to apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by English law, and by using our services you agree that any dispute shall be resolved by the English Court.

Trademark information

CarbonCulture and More Associates, the CarbonCulture and the More Associates logos, and other CarbonCulture images are trademarks of More Associates Limited (the "More Associates Marks"). Without our permission, you must not display or use in any manner, any More Associates Marks.

Changes to the terms

Any changes we make to the Terms will be posted on this page and you will be informed of these changes. The change will become effective as soon as it is posted.
